Everyone loves a cheese burger right?  But have you tried a babybel burger? A Babybel light is a fraction of your healthy extra, so perfect for a slimming world burger!

They’re really easy to make, and great to get the kids involved.

Whats needed

5% minced beef, 1 onion, a good dash or worcester sauce, a teaspoon of mustard powder, raw-burgers1 egg, and a half a slice of brown bread ripped up into bread crumbs, and some babybel lights.

Put all the ingredients together in a bowl (except the babybels).  Mix them all together with your hands, mushing them all together.  Make a patty in your hand, then add a babybel light in the middle. Add some more of the meat mixture on top and mold into a burger.  Try to compact it all together well, or it will split open and the cheese will ooze out.

Cook on a griddle until cooked through.

Serve in a bun with salad and whatever sauces you like….. personally i like amercian mustard and ketchup.

Quick and lazy tea tonight – but oh so yummy!spices-web

Take your chicken breasts, squirt with a bit of frylight and sprinkle the Schwartz Blackened Cajun spice all over (syn free).  Cook in the oven as you would normally.

Mexican Rice – Uncle Ben does it well, and at 2.5 syns for the whole pack its a no brainer for me, especially as with this dish I only have about a quarter of a pack. (2 min in the microwave)

Potato salad – I had some cold boiled potatoes left over from last nights tea, so i chopped them in half and mixed with a finely chopped red onion, then added a peri peri dressing i made using fat free greek yoghurt and some peri peri seasoning i got from Chester Food and Drink festival last year (syn free).

Serve all this together for a super quick yummy and virtually syn free meal!

We love Lasagne in our house.  This is how I make mine:- schwartz-bolognese-mix

I use the schwartz bolognaise mix to make the meat. – 5.5 syns for the whole pan full!  Add 5% fat minced beef, peppers, onions and i also like to add some grated carrot and chopped courgette for extra speed.  Fry this off in a pan then add the packet mix, a tin of chopped tomatoes and half fill the empty can with water and add to pan.  Let it simmer for a bit until everything is cooked.

Once cooked, you layer this up in an oven proof dish with dried lasagne sheets in between.  I replace the cheese sauce with fat free greek yoghurt and then sprinkle a bit of mozarella grated cheese on top (Healthy extra A).  lasagne-1-web

Bake in the oven, and serve with fresh salad and balsamic vinegar.
